Pineapple Juice
150ml pineapple
Pinch of salt
Sugar to taste
Method
Peel Pineapple, wash and chop in a bowl
Mix with water and use plastic sieve to filter
Put in a refrigerator and serve
Paw-Paw Juice
Wash and peel the paw-paw and mash to pulp
Mix with water and use plastic sieve to to filter
Put in the fridge and serve chill
Orange, Paw-paw and Grape Fruit
Orange
1 Grapefruit
1 ripe sliced pawpaw
Juice of 1/2 a lemon and 1/2 lime
Method
Wash and wipe fruit dry
Grate the rind of the orange
Peel the orange, grape fruit, remove the pips and the pitch
Peel the pawpaw and mash to pulp
Blend together orange, grape fruit, and pawpaw pulp
The add lemon or lime juice with the orange rind with water and mix very well
Stir the sugar and put into the mixture and boil gently until set
Pour into warm sterilized jars
Seal and keep away from light
Mango Jam
450g mango pulp, juice of 3 limes, 250g sugar, 25ml water
Method
Boil the fruit till soft
Then add lime juice and boil
Sieve it
When thick, pour into warm sterilized jar
Seal and keep away from light.
Lemonade/Limeade
Ingredients
sugar ( to taste)5 cups water, divided6 to 8 lemons/limes (about 1 cup of lemon/lime juice)
Method
Firstly, turn sugar into 1 cup of water and heat under low heat until it dissolves. Once it has completely dissolve, remove from heat and allow to cool.
Squeeze the lemons or lime to remove the juice
Turn the sugar solution into a pitcher and add the fruit juice of the lemon or the lime
You can add any flavour of your choice
Add the remaining water
