Mother's Day according to Wikipedia "is a celebration of the mother of the family, as well as motherhood, maternal bonds, and the influence of mothers in society. It is celebrated on days in many parts of the world, most commonly in March or May. It complements similar celebrations honoring family members, such as Father's Day, Siblings Day, and Grandparents Day".
Have you ever spent time thinking of the love, care, patience your mum shed for you? It's time you reflected on all the invaluable things done by your unique mother. Yes, they are unique because nobody can take their place in your life no matter what. That is one reason you have to honour them not just only on mothers' day but all other days. Make them feel so important which they are actually. If you have grown enough to take responsibility, see to their needs as this also is another form of honour given to them. Don't wait until they pass on before you wake up to your senses to pay last respect. When you honour your mum with your substance while she lives, more Blessings come on you.
Handle them with care and soft words. Never scold at them especially when they are gray-headed. Your mum will be very sad to see her boy or girl insult her and God will not be please with you. Love them, respect them and care for them.
Like I pointed out earlier, it is not only on mother's day that you show concern, care, and love. Once in a while visit your parents even if they have all the comfort. Remember nobody can take your place in their heart. There is a particular place in their heart where every child is found. Hanging around them not only makes them feel comfortable but gives them a sense of belonging. Children mean a lot to their mothers, they are their world. So, if you are the type that pays visit once in a blue moon, try to be a little bit frequent.
Finally, I will leave you with a short poem
Caring Mom
I lived inside you until you gave birth;
You watched as I learned what goes on here on earth.
Your love and your caring led me the right way.
I know and I feel that you still care today.
I treasure you deeply; you fill me with pride;
I'll always be thankful I grew up by your side.
You're a wonderful mother, so I just want to say,
I love you, dear Mom. Happy Mother's Day!
