Today, I want to share with you various home remedies for
nail fungus (onychomycosis) and athlete’s foot (tinea pedis). Before you start this therapy, make sure your
toe nails are properly cut to allow penetration of this recipe into the
affected areas.
Also, try to maintain proper hygiene. Clean, sun dry and disinfect the shoes you use regularly.
For treating microbial infection, consistency
is the key. Start when you know you will always make out time to practice this.
The reason I am saying this is because breaking can enhance the growth of very
resistant strains that may prevent this from working. Don’t relent until you
see a change.
Bleach: Surprised? Yes, bleach has real antiseptic properties and
has been used before long for the treatment of various ailments that are
outside the body. Mind you bleach can be irritable, itchy and can cause swelling
when applied directly on the skin.
Though many people have stuck to what works
for them, I have been able to draft out a simple dosage for this wonderful
homemade remedy. Not everybody bleach is unfriendly with, some people it’s just
normal on their skin.
Bleach will not only
cure the ailment, but can also help to whiten your nails to look prettier. This
can also be used to treat athletic foot.
Method
- Measure 6 cap full of bleach and dilute with 1 liter of water
- Soak your legs in the water for 15 minutes then rinse with water and dry thorougly
- You can also use your finger to rub the actual bleach on the affect part on your toe or nails.
- Then wash after 5 minutes.
- If your skin feels irritable, try diluting it.
Lime and Lemon:
It is not news that lime and lemon juice contains various antiseptic properties
that have been used for centuries for treating various skin ailments.
Method.
- Get two limes and 1 Lemon fruit
- Get the juice out and apply on the affected part then wash after 5 minutes.
- Or simply make it in such a way you can soak your legs. Soak your legs there for 5 minutes and then wash your legs.
Tea tree oil: Tea
tree essential oil is always incorporated in most skin care products. And has
been used topical to treat various skin ailments. Tea tree can be used to treat
both nail fungus and athlete’s foot.
Remember, like others I mentioned above,
it can also be irritable to the skin. So don’t get excited and pour everything
on your skin. Do it gradually as directed and with time it will disappear.
Method
- Apply tea tree oil on the affected nails twice daily for nail fungus
- Soak the tea tree oil in a clothe and apply generously and then use brush to scrub it.
- Do it for 10 minutes.
- Dilute tea tea oil by 50% and soak your foot in it for 15 minutes twice daily
Apple Cider Vinegar:
Apple cider vinegar has been used also
for various home cleaning, internal body remedies and also as antiseptic against
body odour a few but to mention.

Measure 50ml of apple cider vinegar and turn into 100 ml of
water
Soak your legs for 15 minutes and rinse it and allow to dry.
Do this twice daily.
Salt and water: This has been proven to cure athlete's foot
Mix salt and water in bucket and soak for 20 minutes and then wash off.
Repeat twice daily
Urine: Urine has been also proven to cure athlete's foot. At least if you cannot afford any of the above mentioned recipe, you can afford your urine.
Urinate into a bucket as you wake.
Soak your legs there for 15 minutes and then wash off.
Not only in the morning, you can do this twice a day.
