Each time we fail, our energy level and enthusiasm drops. That is why it is often difficult to bounce back after failure.
Most Leaders, inventors, entrepreneurs, scientists and renowned experts from all walks of life have been faced with repetitive failures at one point or the other in their lives. One thing that made them outstanding was their resilience despite all the challenges, adversities and failures they went through.
We can see here that failure is a natural process that helps to prove how determined we are for the results we want. Therefore, we are not looking for a means of completely eradicating failure, but to minimize its occurrence.
Let me highlight key areas you need to ponder over.
1. DO YOU UNDERSTAND THE PROBLEM?
This is one of the most crucial aspects of solving any problem. Do you know the four walls of this problem you have been battling to solve and keep failing?
Solving a problem without fully knowing the pros and cons of that problem is a game of futility. There are high chances of you achieving success when you know every grey area of your problems.
The problem in this context is simply defined as the difference between where you are now and where you want to be. Resolve today to understand your problem(the difference between A and B before re-launching.
2. HAVE YOU CONSIDERED ASKING FOR HELP?
There is a regular and popular saying that " no man is an island". You might have heard that Ben Carson was the first neurosurgeon to successfully separate conjoined twins. But the truth is, he never did it alone. He confessed that people contributed so much to his success.
Before you think of carrying out that project alone and failing repeatedly, seek help from colleagues, experts and people who have trod that path before. Their little inputs might just be what you need to succeed.
3. ARE YOU LACKING SOME TRAINING?
Are there some skills necessary for your project to come to the limelight and you are yet to acquire them? Why haven't you taken action? This could be the reason for your repeated failures.
Remember, each time you fail your enthusiasm and energy level goes down, so the goal is to keep these two vital components in good nick so that the frequency of failure depletes.
Whatever it will take you to acquire the necessary skills to achieve success, go get it.
4. HAVE YOU LEARNT YOUR LESSON?
Everything in this universe is guided by principles. It doesn't matter whether you are good or bad.
Will a good man break his neck if he jumps down a three-storey building? You know the answer...
Failure to obey the principles guiding what you seek to achieve could be the reason for your repetitive failures.
Principles do not respect wrong consistencies. Let that soak in deeply.
Have you learnt your lesson since you have been failing? Have you sought to know the principles behind your goals and objectives?
Ponder over these four questions.....
