How to make WHO approved hand sanitizer for Corona Virus



With the current trend of Corona virus ravaging the whole world, it is pertinent that we use preventive measures to curb the spread of the disease. Very soon the prices of hand sanitizers will go up . A lot of fake hand sanitizers are being sold out there. It would be better for you to prepare your own hand sanitizers.



I will guide you through the process of making your own hand sanitizer which you could turn into a business opportunity.


Things you need to know


  • Before we get into the process I’ll like to let you know the most active ingredient in hand sanitizers is alcohol. Alcohol for long has been used for sterilization purposes. That means common ogogoro can kill  corona virus. In order to make the hand sanitizer more effective, different kinds of alcohol are mixed in different proportion. 
  • It should be noted that Alcohol is highly flammable i.e they can explode when exposed to fire. Keep your hand sanitizer away from fire to save yourself from double wahala. 
  • Avoid contact with eyes
  • Keep out of reach of children
  • Use: apply a palmful of sanitizer and cover all surfaces of the hands. Rub hands until dry. Flammable: keep away from flame and heat.

Below I’ll provide formulation approved by WHO 

Formulation I
Pour into a 1000 ml (1 liter) graduated flask:
Ethanol - 833.3 ml
Hydrogen peroxide   - 41.7 ml
glycerol - 14.5 ml
Top up the flask to 1000 ml with distilled water or water that has been boiled and cooled; shake the flask gently to mix the content. i.e add distilled water or boiled water to make it up to 1Litre

Formulation II
Pour into a 1000 ml (1 Liter) graduated flask:
isopropyl alcohol - 751.5 ml
Hydrogen peroxide  - 41.7 ml
glycerol - 14.5 ml
Top up the flask to 1000 ml with distilled water or water that has been boiled and cooled; shake the flask gently to mix the content.
